I confess to bending toward the abstract. Even in my more figurative and “realist” pieces, the image is changed; sometimes refined, sometimes distorted. Diebenkorn and Thiebaud, sometimes Bacon, are painters I look to at times. I don’t subscribe to the rebellion of the early abstractionists, the expressionists. the art theorists who succumbed to Clement Greenfield’s market machinations. For that I might be faulted. Please enjoy, they are at least…honest.
