What about Tony Reynolds?
Well, first of all, this isn’t a CV or resume. I never learned much from reading them so why? No list of galleries or collectors or commissions. I owned a gallery and that wouldn’t tell you much about the artists I exhibited unless you met them face to face, so why include it here? Not trying to be coy but you are not going to know much about me unless we actually met.
Look at what I’m showing, and read what I write. Something may come across.
Here is something to begin:
Art is an action word, not a noun. Art is the act of making and creating. At the end of that process, something may exist, an artifact, a “product”. That’s what is bought and sold, the artifacts of doing art. If you make that purchase, I hope it is because you have found some personal connection. It’s different for everyone. And your connection is valid, hugely valid, for you. But you will never, ever have the same relationship to that object, painting, print, book, music, etc., that someone, they are sometimes called artists, who created it will have. You know that because when you bring something into existence you feel the same thing.
And here’s another thing: I hope you get the opportunity to make a bunch of stuff cuz it feels really good.
